On Sunday, May 21, Geoff Beauchamp, John Sauter and myself will join my good friend and colleague, Dr. George Trajtenberg, along with Bobbi Hess, Vice Chair of Serving at the Crossroads, as we travel to the Manos Amigas Clinic in Honduras.
There, we will determine the feasibility of moving our surgical mission in conjuntion with Serving at the Crossroads to Manos Amigas where George has been working for quite some time.
Both George and I are retired general surgeons and we have worked together in Haiti over the years. I’m sure he would agree that some of our finest medical moments have been spent with our respective teams in both Haiti and Honduras. We hope to continue that work years in the future, well beyond just the two of us. This reconnaissance trip hopefully will lead us towards realizing that dream.
