Tony Coletta MD, MBA
Tony Coletta MD, MBA

Chief Surgeon, President, Chairman, Treasurer

Tony is a board-certified general surgeon who merges a distinguished clinical career and success as a healthcare visionary and business leader with his passion for delivering health care to the people in Haiti.

He founded the Blue Sky Surgical team in 2007, serves as Team Leader, and has performed hundreds of surgeries on men, women and children of Haiti. Tony has been recognized as one of the Top 10 People Transforming Health Care in Philadelphia.

John Sauter MD
John Sauter MD

Chief Anesthesiologist

 

John is Blue Sky’s Lead Anesthesiologist and has been a member of the team since 2010. He has participated in 12 surgical missions in both Haiti and Guatemala.

Although John recently retired from active practice after 34 years, he will continue to serve Blue Sky with the recruitment of anesthesia personnel, medical supply procurement and managing Mission Team logistics in the United States.

In retirement John is active with the American Red Cross and the Chester County Medical Reserve Corp. volunteer operations. He received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.D. from Temple University, followed by a Anesthesiology Residency at Penn.

Maggie Adams, RN

Secretary of the Board

 

After obtaining her BSN, Maggie Adams became a staff nurse at the famed Johns Hopkins Hospital, serving in the Pediatric ICU. After taking a break to raise her young son, Maggie resumed her career as a successful healthcare administrator. She received her BSN from Towson State University and her MSN from Holy Family University.

Seth Newman, MD, MBA
Seth Newman, MD, MBA

Board Member

Seth is a board-certified general surgeon with international mission experience in Honduras, Haiti and the Dominican Republic. A leader in his 12-physician surgical group and hospital, he has also been organizing and leading multidisciplinary medical missions since 2007, combining general, trauma and oncologic surgery, neurosurgery, obstetric and gynecological teams, family medicine and pediatrics. His teams have worked with both US and host-country residents-in-training to foster a critical educational component for patients, families, and the next generation of physicians.

Deb McTamney, CRNA
Deb McTamney, CRNA

Board Member

Deb is a veteran of eight Blue Sky missions where she served as a nurse anesthetist at the Double Harvest Clinic outside of Port-au-Prince. She says about her dedicated service that “I always wanted to utilize my skills and expertise for medical missions”. Born in King of Prussia, Deb, a certified nurse anesthetist, received her BSN from the University of Delaware and her Masters in Nurse Anesthesia from St. Joseph’s University.

George Trajtenberg, MD
George Trajtenberg, MD

Board Member

George is a board certified general surgeon who has both participated in and led surgical teams to Haiti and Honduras for nearly two decades. It was through George’s leadership and 10 years worth of effort that the surgical program at Manos Amigas clinic in La Entrada, Honduras was nurtured through the years.

Now, in conjunction with Serving at the Crossroads, the clinic can provide surgical services through three operating rooms and a procedure room to hundreds of patients a week. George brings a wealth of both surgical and missionary knowledge to Blue Sky’s expanded efforts.

Martina Molsbergen
Martina Molsbergen

Board Member

Martina is a prominent bioscience entrepreneur and CEO of C14 Consulting Group, a premier strategic business/investment consultancy. She is also the Founder and President of the C14 Foundation, a public charity serving the poorest of the poor. In that capacity, and as a Blue Sky Board member, Martina has been to Haiti on several occasions. Martina has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University.
