Proud Partners

We are proud of the partnership we’ve created among the doctors, nurses, and health professionals who join Blue Sky missions.

Our mission teams perform everything from small outpatient procedures to more complicated cases — like a little boy we saw one year who had two massive hernias that needed to be fixed. Our patients range from eight months to 90 years of age.
While on the ground, we’ve met patients who would give anything for the most basic care and facilities we sometimes take for granted in the United States. Most of our patients often suffer — and die — from conditions easily treated and cured here because of the lack of basic healthcare in their own country.

We are equally Proud of our Partnership with Serving at The Crossroads

Our Honduran missions would not be successful without our partnership with Serving at the Crossroads (“SATC”). A public charity founded in 2003, SATC has been deeply involved in providing medical care to poor in Honduras for 20 years. SATC built the Manos Amigas clinic in 2010 where patients are now provided medical, dental, vision and surgical services.

By the end of June 2024, the clinic had a total of 262,249 patient visits and now averages 1,400 patient visits each month. The onsite pharmacy fills an average of 850 prescriptions per month and Manos Amigas also performs an average of blood tests each month for about 500 patients.

The Manos Amigas Clinic Team

With the help of Summit in Honduras, a U.S. public charity, the Blue Sky mission team will provide general/family medicine and pediatric care at remote villages outside of La Entrada. Since 2005 Summit in Honduras has been providing help to impoverished families and children in rural Northwestern Honduras. Its mission includes medical outreach, education, literacy, clean water and construction projects.

Blue Sky is privileged to work with our SATC and Summit in Honduras partners in caring for the poor of Honduras.
