Highlights From Our Past Trips

by | Feb 10, 2020 | Journal

Blue Sky’s last mission to Haiti was in March 2018. Ongoing civil unrest and U.S. State Department travel advisories required both of our 2019 missions to be cancelled.

To say our team is prepared and eager to return to Haiti is an understatement. Our Haitian medical colleagues on-the-ground tell us the demand for medical care is high.

The pictorial from our past trips to Haiti is a touchstone for the Blue Sky team. The stories are a reminder that while the challenges there are many, so are the rewards. As medical professionals we’ve learned to provide more care in Haiti with far less resources and it’s safe to say we have a deeper appreciation for our health care system in the U.S.

It’s difficult to express the gratitude and fulfillment we feel by serving the Haitian people, one patient at a time, and working side-by-side with the Clinic’s medical team.

Together we’ll continue to build this essential resource.

We’re looking forward to making new memories in 2020 and we’ll share our stories and photos. Follow us here or on Facebook.
