On November 4, 2021 Blue Sky hosted a Donor Appreciation Night for all of our friends and family who have continued to show their unwavering support for our expanded mission in support of medical and surgical care for the Haitian people.
By all accounts the evening was a great success and our thanks to all who not only attended but to those who could not attend but chose to donate to our efforts! We heard from Dr. Peter Pierrot, medical director at Double Harvest whose struggles to reunite with his wife and daughters has not lessened his passion to return one day to serve the Haitian people, and from Dr. Eugene Maklin, the founder and chief medical officer of the New Hope Hospital in Cap Haitien.
Blue Sky will help to lead the of building a new access road for the hospital, a critical need for the Haitian patients who travel there from throughout the northern region. All of this would not be possible without the compassion and support of our friends and family.
Until we can return to provide the care so desperately needed, Blue Sky will do all that we can to help the Haitians who need it the most. We share the vision and passion of both Dr. Peter and Dr. Eugene that Haiti will once again rise up on behalf of its people!
For all those who could not attend or who have not had an opportunity to donate to the cause, we welcome your continued support!
