Meet our Board

Seth Newman, MD, MBA
Board President
Seth is a board-certified general surgeon with international mission experience in Honduras, Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Past-President of the Medical Staff at Jefferson Abington Hospital and leading his multi-specialty group, he has also been organizing and leading multidisciplinary medical missions since 2007, combining general, trauma and oncologic surgery, neurosurgery, obstetric and gynecological teams, family medicine and pediatrics. His teams have worked with both US and host-country residents-in-training to foster a critical educational component for patients, families, and the next generation of physicians.
Dr. Newman was awarded an Honorary Professor of Surgery at El Ciabo University in the Dominican Republic in addition to being a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.

Ryan Shadis, MD FACS
Board Member
Ryan is a board-certified general, trauma, and critical care surgeon. He has been involved in surgical mission work in Honduras and the Dominican Republic for over 10 years. Dr Shadis is member of a muli-disciplinary surgical practice atJefferson Abington Hospital. As a Clinical Assistant Professor in Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, he is involved in resident training and enthusiastic in introducing them to global mission work.

Martina Molsbergen
Board VP
Martina is a prominent bioscience entrepreneur and CEO of C14 Consulting Group, a premier strategic business/investment consultancy. She is also the Founder and President of the C14 Foundation, a public charity serving the poorest of the poor. In that capacity, and as a Blue Sky Board member, Martina has been to Haiti on several occasions. Martina has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University.

Deb McTamney, CRNA
Board Member
Deb is a veteran of eight Blue Sky missions where she served as a nurse anesthetist at the Double Harvest Clinic outside of Port-au-Prince. She says about her dedicated service that “I always wanted to utilize my skills and expertise for medical missions”. Born in King of Prussia, Deb, a certified nurse anesthetist, received her BSN from the University of Delaware and her Masters in Nurse Anesthesia from St. Joseph’s University.

Patrick Runyen
Treasurer
Pat is currently a Partner and Wealth Manager at Modera Wealth Management in Wayne. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
He lives in Downingtown with his wife and two sons.

Anthony V. Coletta Jr.
Board Member
Anthony Coletta, Jr is Assistant General Counsel at The Vanguard Group, Inc. He spent a year of service with the Augustinian Volunteer Corps following his undergraduate graduation, where he taught elementary school students in San Diego and volunteered at an orphanage in Tijuana. In his professional career, Anthony has advised on a number of matters on a pro-bono basis and mentored law students and new attorneys. Anthony heard first-hand the impact Blue Sky teams made on their mission trips and is dedicated to continuing his father’s legacy through his service on the Board.
Anthony received his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law and B.B.A. from Loyola University.

George Breen
Board Member
George is a software engineering technologist with a B.A. in Computer Science from Temple University. He is an inventor and serial entrpreneur. He has run his own software business and has had senior positions at Intel and Cisco. He holds several patents in Interactive Television and an Emmy for developing Video-on-Demand Technology.
He is married with three children and 4 grandchildren and lives in Wyncote, PA.

MaryAnn Watson
Board Member
MaryAnn Watson graduated with a Masters Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Higher Educational Administration and Counseling. Her career in College Admissions and Career Counseling led her to pursue other opportunities within the field, such as Chemical Dependency and Grief Counseling. She is also a member of several Health Care Boards and committees which has led her to her work in Philanthropy. MaryAnn believes that assisting the disadvantaged and underserved population is where her heart lies as she continues to pursue ways in which she can help others.
